Ambassador of the Year: Lynda Abeyta
Every year the Vacaville Chamber of Commerce selects one person to be honored as its Ambassador of the Year, and the announcement is made at the Director's Ball. The 2007 Ambassador of the Year for Vacaville's Chamber of Commerce Is Lynda Abeyta.
She loves being an ambassador; and feels that it is a great way to help promote your business and meet lots of new people. It's a commitment of just a few hours a month, and the rewards are great.
In the past few years, these Ambassadors have become some of her best friends. "You can never have too many friends. We have so much fun together; I feel we have become a real family," she said.
For the first 20 years of her marriage, Lynda was a stay-at-home mom and participated as a volunteer for many organizations. She was a Girl Scout leader for 15 years, and an assistant youth minister at her church for high school teens for 12 years.
Now she volunteers with Christmas Wish, Relay for Life, St Mary's Food Locker, Tribute To Seniors, Baskets of Hope, Harvest Days Committee, and many more organizations.
Presently, she is a public relations consultant for PG&E, concentrating on their new SmartMeter program, an automated gas and electric metering system that will improve overall service and, in the future, give you 24-hour access to your energy usage information.
Born and raised in Southern California, where she met her husband, Steve, in high school, she has been married for almost 29 years. She and Steve have three married daughters: Amber (Cory), Amanda (Sean) and Alaine (Dave), and two grandsons, Joshua, 6, and Caden, 1.
"We moved to Vacaville 10 years ago and we loved it right away. It has been a great place to raise our family. We have lived all over California and I can say Vacaville has been our favorite city. It has a wonderful small town feeling with all the advantages of a big city," she said.
Business of the Year: Premier Commercial Inc.
Vacaville Chamber of Commerce is proud to name Premier Commercial Inc. as the 2007 Business of the Year.
A California corporation, Premier Commercial has been in existence since 1995. All owners of the business have been involved with real estate in Solano County for more than 20 years. The four principal partners – Kevin John English, Scott Sheldon, Steve Spencer and Ron Waslohn – have more than 100 combined years of real estate experience, in all facets of the industry.
Their philosophy is to treat real estate as a strategic asset, and to work diligently with clients to maximize its value, treating the asset as if it were their own. With three divisions (brokerage, commercial property management, and development), they can call on the aggregate talent of their organization and can bring to the table, at any one time, specialists in property management, leasing, marketing, construction, finance, valuation, consulting and information services. As a result, a myriad of specialized skills are brought to sharp focus and then deployed to meet the needs of Premier’s clients.
Through this practice, each member of Premier’s staff has learned to canvass effectively and represent their projects in the most efficient and appropriate manner. The have learned to aggressively seek out the finest and fairest deals possible. A strong reputation for honesty and integrity accompanies every Premier Commercial offer.
Most of the principals of Premier Commercial are proud to have been raised and still reside in the area. They see its long-term presence and direct involvement in the Vacaville real estate market as a significant competitive advantage. They know the market, know what deals are being made, where and what terms, what’s happening at City Hall, and are in the best position to not only bring a transaction to the table, but be able to close it.
As a result of this local market knowledge and completed transactions, the Napa Solano County Business Journal ranked Premier Commercial the No. 1 commercial brokerage firm, whose primary office is in the county, for represented transactions completed, projects completed and generated. In two recent newspaper reviews, Premier Commercial was given high reviews by their competition, which is a result of their 100 years of collective real estate experience in Solano County.
